A Celebration of Service: Honoring Pennsylvania Veterans -2011
28th Infantry Division (PAANG) Reunion and Memorial Service
(Scroll below these current and classic photos of the event)
The 28th Infantry Division has been honoring its service members at their National Shrine for over 70 years.  Each spring, on the third Sunday in May, Guardsmen and women from the Division gather together to remember those who gave the ultimate sacrifice .

Tracked and wheeled vehicles move into display positions prior to the mid-day service scheduled for noon.  The mighty guns of the Battleship PENNSYLVANIA and the memorial to the Battle of the Huertgen Forest of WWII are in the background.

A salute battery from the 109th Field Artillery out of Wilkes-Barre fires its guns at the 2009 service. This is such a cool picture. . . . .we decided to keep it in the gallery.
