then_and_now_cover.jpgThen & NOW 2011: A Living History Time Line of Uniforms and Equipment

The "Then & NOW Military History Time Line Encampment/Bivouac" hosts a score of reenactors from the 18th through 21st centuries.  The two-day event features music spanning three centuries, a 1pm Battle Dress fashion show and weapons demonstration with plenty of opportunity to talk to the participants about their hobby.  Always on the first non-home game PSU football weekend,  the Time Line brings the past alive for a great back-to-school experience.  The 2012 weekend will be 08-09 SEPTEMBER.

Joseph Malit (Left) of Maplewood, NJ and Ed Manning (right) of Lake Ariel, PA represent the "resident" Hessian Army at the museum.  Displaying a mastery of knowledge for the period as well as a quick wit, they are truly a hit with most of our visitors who claim a Hessian or two in their ancestory.
