Richard Koontz Memorial Lecture Series: "Remembrances of the War in the Pacific: A Conversation with Charlie Sullivan"

Charlie Sullivan is a WWII veteran who served in the Pacific on a Destroyer Escort, the USS Wesson (DE-184), from its time as a brand-new DE just commissioned at the Brooklyn Navy Yard in November 1943 to his discharge on February 6, 1946.

Charlie will recall the many aspects of life in general aboard a DE during WWII, and also speak about some specific events, such as those of April 7, 1945, when the Wesson was hit by a kamikaze.
