Jim Bloom (Capt., USN Retired) will chronicle the entry of the United States into World War I 100 years ago on April 6th, 1917. President Woodrow Wilson, elected on a platform of pacifism and neutrality, found his hand forced by a series of savage and unchivalrous maritime events in 1915-1917 that compelled him to reverse his stance and seek a declaration of war against Germany.
