Join the Pennsylvania Military Museum on Saturday, December 6, and Sunday, December 7, from 10AM-4PM for The Ghost Front: A World War II Experience. By examining the Battles of the Hurtgen Forest and the Bulge, the public can learn of the leadership, endurance, and sacrifices of American soldiers in December 1944. Foxhole displays will be open each day, allowing the public to learn more about frontline life and roles of individual soldiers. If visitors desire a more comprehensive breakdown of defenses, recon patrol tours will guide visitors from foxhole to foxhole at 11AM, 1PM and 3PM. At 12PM, families can participate in the History Mystery Kid’s Program, where children can “meet” soldiers of the era. At 2PM, a skirmish demonstration will showcase weapons and tactics. This event is free and open to the public. Donations are encouraged. Museum merchandise will also be available for purchase. Proceeds benefit the Pennsylvania Military Museum.
