Under the Canopy - A Vietnam War Experience

Join the Pennsylvania Military Museum on Saturday, August 1, and Sunday, August 2, from 10AM-4PM for Under the Canopy: A Vietnam War Experience. By examining this Cold War conflict, the public can reflect upon the importance of cultural understanding, the impacts of military force, and the potentials of unintended consequences. Immersive recon patrols take place at 11AM, 1PM, and 3PM. Families can participate in the History Mystery Kid’s Program at 12PM. A historic weapons demonstration will showcase several pieces that were used during the conflict at 2PM. Vietnam War veterans are invited to attend and to share their stories with visitors. This event is free and open to the public. Donations are encouraged. Museum merchandise will be available for purchase. The Vietnam War Remembered: A Cemetery Lantern Tour will also take place at the Boalsburg Cemetery on Saturday, August 1, at 6:30PM. Proceeds benefit the Pennsylvania Military Museum.
