Join the Pennsylvania Military Museum in celebration of Pennsylvania Veterans. There will be a craft as well as the opportunity to write a holiday card for active and retired military members living in Pennsylvania through the Red Cross’s “Holidays for Heroes” program. If you are unable to attend the card making activity, the Military Museum will be accepting card drop off’s in from October 1- November 20th.

Do’s and Don’ts of Holiday Cards:

Do include positive messages!

Please try to avoid cards with glitter.

Please don’t include cash or gift cards.

Please make the cards appropriate for a service member of any branch (Ie. don’t say “soldier” because your card might go to a sailor!) Also remember to keep cards gender neutral, there are both male and female service members who will receive your cards!

Please keep the message in the card appropriate for a veteran or active military member. We won’t know if your card is going to a veteran or active military member ahead of time. (You can use words like “Hero,” “Service Member” or simply “Thank you for your service!”)

Please return your cards to the Pennsylvania Military Museum by Sunday, November 20th.  Please note the museum is open from 10-3 Thursday-Saturday, and 12-3 on Sunday and cards may be dropped off during these times.
