Join us on November 4th as we review two movies detailing the early history of the air war in China during World War II.

VIETNAM LECTURE SERIES: POWS

The final Vietnam Lecture Series session will provide a detailed treatment of U.S. military personnel who were captured and held as POWs (Prisoners of War) in North Vietnam until their release in 1973.  This lecture will be presented by Robert Doyle, a former Navy intelligence officer who has written several books on this subject.

Kids of all ages get to try on the field gear and head gear from the museum education collection.  Visit education stations in the galleries for more fun discoveries throughout the day.  Regular admission rates apply.

150TH ANNIVERSARY OF LINCOLN'S FUNERAL PROCESSION & BURIAL CEREMONY: SPRINGFIELD, ILLINOIS

Join us on Gettysburg Remembrance Day for a lecture by Sue Kellerman, who witnessed the 150th anniversary of Lincoln's funeral procession and burial ceremony in Springfield, Illinois.  She will share this historic experience through stories, images, and photos from both 2015 and 1865.  The talk will also include an exclusive first viewing of the Lincoln Penny Portrait.
